PearlaChicago was born from Cece Du's lifelong love of design and her curiosity for discovering beauty in unexpected places.

Originally from China, Cece moved to Savannah to pursue her Master of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design. With a background in design, she has always been drawn to the relationship between form, material, and the way an object makes us feel.

After working in the design industry, Cece took a leap of faith and began exploring a more personal form of creativity. Her travels through Japan, China, Bali, and the United States introduced her to new materials, artisans, and ways of seeing beauty.

Along the way, she began cutting gemstones and crafting jewelry by hand. What started as a creative exploration grew into PearlaChicago, founded in 2020.

Today, Cece continues to design each collection with the same curiosity that started it all—finding beauty in natural materials, unexpected shapes, and thoughtful details.
